15 Things that Made Me Smile this Week

I’m used to summing up my day as either good or bad, or worse, answering everything with “OK”. I wish I could be that person that has a positive remark to everything and an almost perfect, positive perspective on everything. But, I’m not. It’s so hard for me to focus on the positive things, but that’s mostly because of my anxiety and how I get stuck in a state of negativity.

I wanted to push myself this week to pull the good things out of each day and focus on that. I especially like the quote “every day may not be good but there’s something good in everyday”. So I decided to write a list of things that made me smile this week and honestly, it was hard!

Getting flowers from my girlfriend
Taking a sip of a warm cup of coffee
Watching my cats run around
Thinking about planning a trip
Reading a good book
Watching videos of my goddaughter
Seeing birds eat from the feeder outside
Laughing at an episode of Friends
Sitting by the campfire with my grandparents
Snuggling with my girlfriend
Getting a package in the mail
Reading a funny text from my mom
Looking at the weather forecast and seeing that it’s supposed to rain
Ordering something from Chapters
Finally finishing a project at work
